Learn how to enable and customize extra features for your readers.
To start customizing:
Click on the Customize tab in the top header.
Choose the Components tab.
Scroll down to the functionality you want to customize. Click on the Information button (i in a circle) to learn about about each feature.
- Enable/Disable the feature.
There are three language settings available.
1. Default Language
a) If you will be exporting your ebook to a Web APP, Desktop App, or Mobile App, the Kotobee Reader will be embedded in the app for seamless viewing. The Kotobee Reader interface is available in 19 languages. When you select a default language, your app will automatically open for your readers in the language you select as the default.
1. To select the Default language of the App, click on the drop-down menu, the default is set to English.
2. Select one of the 19 languages supported by Kotobee.
b) The Customize language button allows you edit all words and phrases in the interface for the selected translation. For information about customizing languages read: Customizing language translations.
2. Speech language
If you eText-to-speech
To select the text-to-speech pronunciation language (and accent in the case of English), click on the Speech language drop-down menu and select the language.
3. Wikipedia Language
If you are enabling Wikipedia Lookup, you may also select one of the 19 supported languages for the Wikipedia search.
Click on the Wikipedia Language drop-down menu then select one of the 19 available languages for your readers' search.
Google Analytics Tracking ID
You can add your Google Analytics ID to track viewer analytics for your ebook or library. A complete tutorial is available here. This feature is not available with free licenses.
To animate the turn of pages you may select one of four transition animations to be used when readers navigate to another page or chapter. Simply select from the Page animation drop-down menu: Page-flip, Card-flip, Fade, or Slide.Sharing
These following options allow readers to share information from the ebook in three different ways:
a) Copy to clipboard
This option allows readers to copy a word/sentence to their clipboard.
b) Social Share
This option allows readers to share sentences via social networks. This component is available for mobile apps only.
This option allows readers to print chapters. It’s only available for web and desktop.
This option allows readers to export the displayed chapter as a PDF file. Available for web apps only. This option comes with three components:
a) PDF save
This option allows users to export a chapter as a PDF.
b) PDF save options
This option offers users saving options.
c) PDF mode
This option allows you to choose how the users can export the PDF, whether as Image-based, or Vector-based.
Background audioThis option allows you to add Background audio to your ebook by:
Clicking on Add audio file.
Going to your documents.
Choosing the MP3 file you want.
Clicking on it.
