Learn how to customize the control bar in the ebook app. Options include menu, table of contents, media, notebook, search and settings. The control bar appears in the lower portion of the screen in the reader app and opens side panels and popup windows.
Click on the Customize tab in the top header to open the Customize Screen.
Click on the Tabs section.
A list of tabs will appear, select Show or Hide, to include or remove the control option from the ebook app.
Media tab: Displays a button in the bottom control bar, which will open a panel showing a list of all the media content that appears in the book.
Chapters tab: Displays a button in the bottom control bar, which will open the left panel showing the table of contents. If this is disabled, the chapters panel can still be accessed by clicking on the Chapter title.
Settings tab: Displays a button in the bottom control bar which will show the settings menu.
Notebook tab: Opens a panel listing all the bookmarks, highlights and notes taken by the reader throughout the book, chapter by chapter.
Note: you can disable the Notebook tab and still have the annotations enabled.
Search within book: Allows the reader to search the whole book, and locate precise keyword positions.
By clicking on the Add tab button, you will be able to add your own custom tab. This feature is not available for free licenses.
1. Click on the Add tab button and a window will appear.
2. Under Title, enter the label that will be used for the tab.
3. Select an optional tab:
To website: Opens an external link in the browser.
To Book Location: Jumps to a certain chapter (and/or optionally anchor) in the currently opened book.
Popup message: Displays a message in a popup dialog box.
Audio: Plays an MP3 file (locally or remotely).
