This release is packed with performance enhancements and solutions to uncommon issues. Additionally, we have included four significant features that we believe will be valuable to you. Let's take a look.
Manual Book Ordering
If you're a Kotobee Library user, you can now manually arrange your ebooks in the order you'd like them to be displayed to your users. Previously, the ebooks were displayed in the order they were published, with the option for the readers to sort them in different ways (e.g. alphabetically). Now, there is also a “default” option that displays your chosen custom order of books to your readers.
Manual Category Ordering
The same goes for categories as well. You are now free to rearrange your categories as you wish, rather than being forced to display them in the order they were created.
Exporting Library as an Installer File
You can now export your library as an installer file, a feature that was previously only available for ebook desktop apps. A software installer offers many benefits for your users. It lets them easily create shortcuts (on start menu, desktop, etc) and manage the software better through the operating system itself.
Consistent Global JS or CSS
If you are importing an ebook (i.e. EPUB or KPUB2 format) into your current project, then you will have two different versions of Global CSS (and JS) files. The different versions are maintained separately to avoid conflicts with your imported (or current) ebook appearance and functionality. However, if you prefer a consistent CSS and JS file across all chapters, we’ve introduced a button that can force the currently opened JS or CSS file to be applied to all chapters.
