Learn how to turn any chapter (or even a subchapter) into a list of links to its subchapters. It will be similar to a table of contents, but for the select chapter's contents only.
The option to insert a Chapter Guide is only available for chapters (or subchapters) that have subchapters.
The Chapter Guide does not automatically update, so you may make changes to the chapters without affecting the guide.
When you create the Chapter Guide, it will replace the contents of the chapter. If you have written any content on the parent page, copy it to a subchapter first.
Add a Chapter Guide
- Find the chapter that you want to turn into a chapter guide in the chapter menu on the left.
- Click on the button with 3 horizontal lines to the right of the chapter title.
A Confirmation window will appear, saying "A guide will be created for this chapter, linking all its child chapters. This will overwrite that chapter's content. Are you sure you want to continue?" - Click Yes and you're done.
To refresh the chapter guide, simply repeat the steps above.
