Learn how to resize an image gallery while maintaining the aspect ratio and allowing for distortion from the Edit/Insert Gallery window.
With the Cursor
Maintain the Aspect Ratio
- Click on the gallery that you want to resize.
- Place the cursor at the bottom right corner of the gallery.
- The cursor will change to a double-headed arrow.
- Hold the Shift button on your keyboard and at the same time left-click your mouse and move the cursor.
- The gallery size will change instantly with the same width: height ratio.
- Release the mouse and shift button when the gallery is the size you want.
Allow for Distortion
Note using this method for resizing will result in squishing or stretching of the images.
- Click on the gallery that you want to resize.
- Place the cursor at the
- right side to change the width.
- bottom to change the height.
- bottom right corner to change both the height and width.
- The cursor will change to a double-headed arrow.
- Left-click the mouse and move the cursor.
- The gallery size will change instantly.
- Release the mouse when the gallery is the size you want.
From the Edit/Insert Gallery Window
Maintain the Aspect Ratio
- Click on the px in the drop-down box next to the width size.
- Select %.
- Enter (in the Width or Height box) the percentage of the original size that you would like the new gallery to be.
- Example: Enter 50 for the gallery to be half the original size.
- Enter 200 for the gallery to be double the original size.
- The length of the other side will be set to Auto and both lengths will be changed by the same percentage.
- Click Edit (Create).
Your gallery will instantly appear in the new size.
Allow for Distortion
Note using this method for resizing will result in squishing or stretching of the images.
- Click on the length that you want to change (Width or Height).
- Enter the new length in pixels.
- Click Edit (Create).
