Learn how to remove a user from access to a Cloud Ebook.

If you will be removing multiple users, try the bulk options.

Kotobee Author provides you with two ways to disable user access to your Cloud Ebook: 

  • Temporary & Maintain User Data. The user remains listed as an inactive user. You can reactivate the user at any time, commonly used for overdue payments.
  • Permanent & Delete User Data. All user records are deleted. The user will need to sign up as a new user.

We will guide you through both methods now.

  1. Click on the Manage tab.
    The Manage screen will open.
  2. Click on Cloud Ebooks in the left panel.
  3. Select Users from the Cloud Ebooks menu in the left panel.
  4. Select your cloud ebook from the drop-down menu in the top bar.
  5. Locate the user in the main panel.
    You may use the filter options in the upper right corner to find the user.
  6. Below the user's ID number and name, click the method you prefer.
    • Deactivate disables user access to your Cloud Ebook. The user will remain listed for you to re-activate at any time.
      A confirmation window will appear for you in Kotobee Author: "User is deactivated."
    • Delete removes all records of the user.
      A confirmation window will appear: "Are you sure you want to delete this user?" Click Yes.
      Another confirmation window will appear. "User deleted successfully."
