Learn how to resize an image while maintaining the aspect ratio and allowing for distortion, with the cursor and from the Edit/Insert Image window.

With the Cursor

To make any changes to the size of the image, you will need to select the image, then resize from the bottom right corner.

Maintain the Aspect Ratio

Use this method to change the size of the image as a whole, without changing the appearance of the image.

Maintain the Aspect Ratio

To make sure your image does not get distorted when you resize it, change the percentage not the pixels.

1.  Next to the width size, click px in the drop down box .  Select %.

3.  Enter the percentage of the original size that you would like the new image to be. You may enter it in the Width or Height box and the other will be set to Auto and will change automatically.

Example:  Enter 50 for the picture to be half the original size.

Enter 200 for the picture to be double the original size.

4.  Click Edit (Create).

Your image will instantly appear in the new size.
